See the sights of Curacao and snorkel over a reef and then a sunken tugboat on this sightseeing snorkeling combo tour!
After being picked up, you will visit the East of Curacao, which is Curacao's most residential area. After showing you the historical city of Willemstad, you will depart for a beautiful nearby bay with calm water and great snorkeling opportunities. A shallow terrace runs between 15 and 25 feet (4.5 and 7.5 meters) deep with healthy coral, diverse fish, and even some well-camouflaged seahorses. The reef area is the perfect nursery for small colorful fish that call it home. After drying off and re-hydrating with complimentary juice and water, you will head toward an historic site: Fort Beekenburg, originally built to protect Caracasbaai from pirates and enemy nations. The trail offers a good view of Barbara Beach across the expansive harbor of Spanish Water.
Next on your Curacao tour, go snorkeling over a picturesque sunken tugboat in calm and protected waters. The fully intact 30-foot wreck sits upright in 20 feet of water; the wheelhouse is only five feet beneath the surface. After three decades below the waves, the skeletal hull is totally encrusted with coral and Christmas tree worms. The area is also teeming with tropical fish, all amenable to being photographed and fed. After drying off and heading back to shore, you will be dropped off at your hotel.
