Your tastebuds will be delighted as you take this Croatia culinary tour through quaint villages to experience the food, people, and traditions of the Adriatic coast. This Dalmatia tour takes you through the medieval villages of Orasac, Ston, and Mali Ston for some traditional Croatian delights.

Enjoy a scenic drive as you depart Dubrovnik heading to the farming village of Orasac. Wine, ham, cheese, and olive oil these are just a few of the delicacies that the quaint village of Orasac is famous for producing. Visit a traditional Croatian house where you will sample homemade goat cheese, wine, and smoked ham. While on your guided tour, also learn about the traditional olive oil production in the Dalmatia region in a 16th century oil mill, where a horse is still used to power the mill.

Seafood lovers will be delighted on your next stop. Visit the medieval villages of Ston and Mali Ston, known as the “oyster capitals of Croatia.” Located 45 minutes northwest of Dubrovnik, the enchanting villages of Ston and Mali Ston boast great eating, amazing scenery, old salt ponds still in use, and the longest fortified stone walls in Europe. Ston and Mali Stone have been oyster hotspots since Roman times and feature one of the world’s oldest oyster farms. The Ostrea Edulis variety of oysters, found only in Croatia, is said to be firmer and more flavorful than Atlantic oysters. Find out for yourself as you are served a delicious seafood platter while your guide tells you about how oysters are cultivated. There will also be free time to explore Ston on your own. See Ston’s magnificent medieval walls that surround the town and extends to Mali Ston. The medieval walls were built to defend the city against pirates and are three miles long. Ston is also popular for its production of salt. The village's salt works are among the oldest and best preserved in Europe and are still harvested by hand. Enjoy your free time around Ston before embarking on the scenic drive back to Dubrovnik. An enthralling culinary journey through the medieval villages of Orašac, Ston, and Mali Ston awaits you on this deliciously exciting tour.
