Increase your enjoyment as well as your chances of catching the world-famous Alaskan wild salmon in un-crowded comfort! Unlike larger boats, where customers often have to share lines, our smaller boats significantly increase your chances of catching a fish. With a minimum of 3 and a maximum number of 4 people fishing on boats less than 30 feet long (and maximum 5 on boats over 30 feet long) you will never be fighting for space.
All boats have an inside cabin, facilities and water and hot beverages. Relax as you take in the breathtaking scenery surrounding you. All Captains are local, experienced, licensed Alaskan State Fishing Guides. Fishing licenses and King stamps can be purchased from your captain on the boat (approximately $25 US per person) if you did not pre-purchase them online. License and stamps must be paid for in cash when purchasing them on the boat.
You will have approximately 4 hours of fishing time. Fishing tackle, bait and additional wet weather gear will be provided.
At the end of your fishing time, you will head back to the harbor where your Captain can arrange for fish caught to be professionally processed locally (packaged, flash frozen, smoked, etc.), and later shipped overnight to your home for an additional charge. Cost will depend on weight.
Please Note: Unfortunately, due to an extremely poor projected King salmon return, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game will be issuing a full season closure on King salmon during the beginning of the Alaskan tourism season. This means that it is illegal for a fisherman to retain any caught King salmon from April 1st - June 14th, 2019. Guests can still go fishing for salmon (and must purchase a King Salmon stamp), but if they catch a King salmon, they must release it back unharmed into the water. Anglers over the age of 15 will be required to have an Alaskan fishing license, which can be purchased on your fishing boat with cash (approximately $25 US per person). A King Salmon stamp is $15 US per person.
