Look across the Verde Valley for a relaxing sight of Mingus Mountain, the Black Hills and the region’s big-country sky. Your tour guide will make sure you have plenty of time to take as many pictures as you want of these unparalleled views of the Southwest.
Leave the road behind and drive down a section of trail called the Greasy Spoon. More than 100 years old, this section was once part of the wagon trail between Sedona and Prescott, then the capital of the Arizona Territory. You can still see remnants of the old ranching days all along the trail through Verde Valley. One example is Huntley Tank, one of the several watering holes dredged out by the ranchers to provide a drinking spot for their livestock. Today, sections of the Coconino National Forest are still used for grazing.
Enjoy the beautiful views of the canyon as you zip past the wildlife of the desert. Ride into the massive depth of Diamondback Gulch itself. Take in the views of the arroyo, also known as a small creek, as you climb out the other side of the gulch. Embark on this rugged adventure for an exciting and unique Sedona experience.
