Tour Details

Bask in Adelaide's beauty as you explore Hanhdorf, two Barossa Valley vineyards, and the Adelaide Hills. This relaxing yet stimulating full-day guided coach tour will surely give you a true taste of what Adelaide has to offer.

This Barossa Valley tour will take you about 70 kilometers northeast of Adelaide to an area known around the world as a major wine producing region. Originally settled by European immigrants, the town possesses an unmistakably Bavarian atmosphere. For those of you who enjoy the finer things, a Barossa Valley wine tasting at one of its Jacob's Creek Visitor Center will give you an opportunity to challenge your taste buds.

As you take in Barossa Valley's true beauty, you will have opportunities to see breathtaking panoramic views over the valley from Mengler's Hill lookout and the Saltram Wine Estate. You will also enjoy a delectable lunch at the Australian Company Store.

After lunch, you'll make a stop along the way to Hahndorf at the Herbig Family Tree at Springton. This hollow tree trunk provided a ‘home’ for Friedrich & Caroline Herbig and two of their 16 children until 1860. Besides being one of Australia's most famous towns, Hahndorf is also its oldest surviving German settlement. You will delight in the long honored German culture and its influence on the people and their lives. Enjoy the unique crafts, cottage shops, pubs, and traditional bakeries Hahndorf has to offer.

Your Adelaide Hills tour is the perfect getaway; leave the city behind for country life in one of the oldest wine regions in Australia. While driving through the area take in the scenic hills, lush green landscape, and, if you're lucky, catch a glimpse of some unique Australian wildlife. This full day Barossa Valley tour will get you acquainted with Australia's natural beauty and help you get a true experience of Adelaide's surrounding countryside.
