Tour Details

After checking in at the tour office and filling out your paperwork, you will have a safety briefing on the operation of your ATV. Then get ready for some real Alaskan excitement on the ATV Wilderness Adventure! Whether a novice or expert ATV rider, this trip is a memorable experience in the Alaskan wilderness on your own automatic one or two-passenger ATV!

Riding along old coal mining and ATV trails at speeds up to 30 mph, your adventure includes two breathtaking 360 degree overlooks that provide views of the Alaska Range, Otto Lake, and the Healy Valley.

Then, youíll navigate down to the creek bed, where youíll spend time splashing through the water (depending on recent weather). There are several opportunities to see wildlife throughout your ride, although wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed. The tour covers approximately 10 miles and operates in rain or shine, but within safety guidelines. The total time on the trails is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.

A helmet, goggles, and gloves will be provided. Helmets are required by law. Eye protection--either the provided goggles or your sunglasses or glasses--is mandatory.

Please Note: If you are staying in the Talkeetna area (McKinley Princess Lodge, Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge etc.), you are approximately 100 miles from the Denali Park main gate area, from where this tour departs. You are responsible for your own transportation to the Denali area.

Recommended Dress
For all tours in Alaska, we recommend wearing layers, with the top layer being waterproof. Depending on the weather, trails may be dusty, muddy, or both. We suggest wearing clothing that can get dirty. Closed-toe shoes (boots or sneakers) are mandatory.
To drive the Single Driver ATVs, you must be 18 years old, or 16 years old with a parent present to sign permission. To drive the Side by Side ATVs, you must be 21 years old, or 18 years old with a parent present to sign permission. All drivers must have and show a valid driverís license. A driverís permit is not a valid driverís license. Anyone under 16 years old, or anyone without a valid driverís license will be restricted to a passenger seat on a Side by Side ATV. Car seats and booster seats are available for small children.

Guests with neck, back, or hip issues, or women who are pregnant should not participate in an ATV tour. If in doubt, consult a doctor before booking a tour. Pets are prohibited on the ATV ride. All guests must wear a helmet and eye protection (that can include personal glasses or sunglasses), which will be provided. All participants must sign a waiver.

At any point during your tour, if the guides feel that you are operating your ATV in an unsafe or reckless manner, they have full authority to end your tour without a refund.
