Tour Details

Looking for some historical art while in Phoenix? Tour the prehistoric cliff dwellings at Montezuma Castle National Monument on this fun and informative day trip that includes Sedona and the Red Rock Spires. With your friendly guide, step back in time to visit the famous mining town of Jerome on this fabulous full-day tour of Arizona beauty and history.

Travel up I-17 through the high plateaus to Montezuma Castle. On your tour, you will discover that this castle, declared a National Monument by President Theodore Roosevelt, lives on as a legacy of the Sinagua culture. The prehistoric cliff dwellings are situated near a peaceful sycamore glade along Beaver Creek.

Next, sightsee and shop in Sedona, where you are surrounded by the awesome Red Rocks. Sedona is famous for its inspiration to artists from around the world. Stop in the downtown art galleries to see why. On your Sedona tour, you'll see the Chapel of the Holy Cross, an iconic Catholic Chapel built on the high mesas of Sedona. You'll also have free time in Sedona to walk around and enjoy a tasty meal at one of Sedona’s unique eating establishments on your own.

Make a stop at the beautiful Oak Creek Canyon, located between Sedona and Flagstaff. Route 89A runs through the bottom of Oak Creek Canyon, giving visitors a spectacular look up the high cliffs of this beautiful, wooded canyon. Keep your eyes open to see all of the wildlife that live throughout this spectacular area.

You will end your day in the historic mining community of Jerome. Most of Cleopatra Hill, the rock formation upon which Jerome was built, is 1.75 billion years old. Your Jerome tour is in Arizona's Black Hills and within the Prescott National Forest at an elevation of more than 5,000 feet. Today Jerome has art galleries, coffee houses, restaurants, and a state park and local museum devoted to mining history. The vistas from Jerome are breathtaking. Be sure to have your camera handy to get a picture of the Red Rocks Country.

Enjoy the exploration of these three sites and be sure to take plenty of photos of the historical attractions and natural beauty so you will capture your memories forever. This tour is perfect for anyone who wants to experience the ancient and natural wonders of the majestic Southwest.
