Tour Details

Spend a gorgeous day touring through southern Mexico City to see some of the most unique and historic sights, such as Cibeles Fountain and Plaza Mexico. Tour the impressive campus of the National University of Mexico before heading to the ancient area of Xochimilco, where you'll ride in a traditional boat for an Aztec experience like no other.

Meet your bilingual guide and head out to see some amazing sites in the southern part of Mexico City. Tour the areas leading to the famous Cibeles Fountain, a replica of the real one found in Madrid, Spain. Siqueiros Cultural Polyforum is a cultural and social building that contains the largest mural work in the world called "La Marcha de la Humanidad." This building contains a theater and many other works of art, including fine plastic attached to the outside of the structure. Continue your Mexico City bus tour at Plaza Mexico, which boasts the largest bull ring in the world. This massive building seats more than 41,000 bull fighting viewers at a time.

On this Mexico tour, you will also see the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), Mexico's National University. This renowned center of learning was established in 1910 and is the only Mexican university with Nobel Prize alumni. Some of its walls are adorned with murals painted by Diego Rivera himself, and David Alfaro Siqueiros, the man responsible for the beautiful murals at the Cultural Polyforum. The campus is also the home of the the iconic Olympic Stadium.

Heading south, you'll arrive at Xochimilco to tour this historic site known as the "Place of Flowers." This is the home of the Aztec canals. You have the chance to get up close and personal with the Aztec culture as you ride in one of the traditional boats known as "trajineras." This unique experience tops off a day of cultural and historic sites all conveniently combined in one exciting tour.
