Tour Details

If you’re interested in tasting the delicious flavors of Prague’s famous beer and traditional tapas, this Czech culinary tour is the perfect excursion for you. As you travel to various beer halls via tram, your guide will explain to you the Czech lifestyle and its history while you take in all the city’s beautiful surroundings.

Your Prague beer tour will begin at the statue on top of Wenceslas Square, where many demonstrations took place under Communism, and during the Velvet Revolution in 1989 that brought down totalitarian rule. Here you will meet your group and guide and head straight for the tram to a favorite local beer hall in Zizkov, a former industrial suburb that has become the epicenter of Prague's rough-and-tumble nightlife. This area is home to the most pubs of any other Prague district — more than 300 in just five square kilometers! Once you reach the first pub, choose from numerous Czech brands of beer to taste your fist cold glass of Prague beer. To compliment your beverage, try a sample of delicious pork in chili served with horseradish and mustard.

Next up on your beer tour you'll hop on the tram in search of a truly hidden gem at Vinohrady, where, aside from a jolly and cosy atmosphere, this beer cellar and garden also serves up 27 different Czech microbrewery beers! Don't worry, your guide will help you choose. You'll also savor some pickled sausage, one of the most famous Czech beer snacks, which is served with onion and pepper. This place does it best in all of Prague.

Time to switch gears, but who knows where you'll end up next! As a local expert, your guide will always have their eyes peeled for what's going on in the city, so the next stop will vary based on the season and what's happening - who has the most interesting beer on today, which pub has a band playing, etc. It's up to you and your guide where you head to for this part of the adventure!

This Prague culinary tour will continue to Old Town for a visit to the pub where the very first Pilsner Urquell draught was tasted in 1843. Sample Pilsner Urquell, the most famous Czech beer, which is made with less carbon dioxide than most beers, and has a distinct taste due to its abundance of hopps. Sink your teeth into finely smoked pork with traditional potato pancakes and Bohemian-style white cabbage to bring out the flavors of your glass of Pilsner.

After sampling the world-renowned Pilsner Urquell, you'll head to a rather cosy new brewery pub near the Old Town square, where you'll finish up your Prague beer tour in style, with new friends and stories you'll remember for a long, long time. At the end of this Czech culinary tour you will receive a map of Prague’s most famous pubs, so that you can further explore on your own. Don’t hesitate; this fun-filled Prague tour is the ideal way to taste all the flavors of Czech capital.
