You'll also get to visit the delightful town of Alexandria.

Begin your Mount Vernon, Alexandria, and Arlington National Cemetery tour at the 315 foot high clock tower that marks the Old Post Office. You will travel to Mount Vernon, in Virginia, on a luxurious bus with your expert guide. Just a short while later, you'll arrive at the famous George Washington home. You will start your George Washington house tour with the Ford Orientation Center and its informative mini-movie that shows the most pivotal points in Washington's life. You will then explore the Donald W. Reynolds Museum and Education Center, with its numerous short movies and over 500 artifacts outlining Washington's intriguing life. Make sure you watch "Washington Dentures,"¯ which explains the truth behind his "wooden"¯ teeth. You’ll stop at Arlington National Cemetery, the final resting place of more than 250,000 military men and women. See the Tomb of the Unknowns and the eternal flame of former president John F. Kennedy.

George Washington loved Mount Vernon so much that he passed away right there in the master bedchamber. He requested to be buried on his beloved estate, and you will get to see his well-preserved tomb. If you are touring between April and October, make sure you experience the special wreath laying ceremonies at 10:00 am or 2:00 pm.
