Our Road to Hana experience was excellent. Our driver & guide was very knowledgeable about the area and explained a lot of what we were seeing during our trip. We stopped for coffee & home made banana bread early in the trip that doubled as a rest stop. The road was very windy & narrow as described with plenty of one lane stone bridges. There were great views, plenty of waterfalls, stops at two beaches and a delicious picnic lunch at Tony’s. There were only 12 of us in the van which made stopping at “extra” spots for a quick picture that much easier. I highly recommend this tour.
From the start our tour guide was very informative about the island and each stop. He was very friendly and answered all of our questions! We had the absolute best time with the Sloths and Monkeys. The horseback riding was great and our guide took some awesome pictures of us with the horses in the ocean. Our favorite part was the snorkeling!! The 2nd best reef in the world and it was just beautiful!! We were awestruck with what we were seeing!! You have to do this we have been on many excursions and this by far was worth every penny!!!
I had an amazing time meeting the Mayan Women and cooking with them. Their home and hospitality was inspiring. The food they prepared was delicious and it was fun watching the demonstration and then actually taking part in making some of their traditional dishes. Our tour guides Yoshi and driver J were so informative and patient. Both provided excellent service and were very knowledgeable. I definitely recommend this excursion for anyone looking for low energy but authentic and immersive experience.
In a word... WOW! My wife and I booked this trip hoping for a small group and the chance to climb on the Mayan ruins. We got more than we bargained for. This trip was absolutely amazing. We ended up the only two on the trip so we got a personalized adventure.
The directions that were given from port to meeting point were very good I had no trouble finding it. Our tour guide was an attentive from the very start. For the whole hour ride, he spoke of history, customs, and whatever else came up. The location was beautiful, the food was good, it was a very good experience.
