Tour Details

Belfast is full of history and amazing natural features. It's only two hours from Dublin, but it's a whole other world.

Buckle up and ride a comfortable coach bus to the historical city of Belfast. Enjoy the countryside views from your window. Your tour guides will provide you with a surplus of information and will stop along the way to show you specific landmarks and famous sites, such as the Belfast Peace Wall, one of Ireland's Seven Wonders. The Peace Wall, built in 1969, is meant to separate battling Catholics and Protestants. Sometimes these walls are simply called, "peace lines." Today, when times are peaceful, many people believe the walls should be taken down. Next you will visit the Republican museum, which displays everything to do with Republicanism, from original weapons to informative images. You will then enjoy free time in the city center for lunch.

After exploring the city center, you will depart on the second half of the city tour to East Belfast and the birthplace of RMS Titanic. Head out of the city to the town of Downpatrick and the resting place of Ireland’s most famous saint: Saint Patrick. Here you will visit the Saint Patrick Center, as well as visit Down Cathedral, where you will find the grave of Saint Patrick himself.

After Saint Patricks’ grave site you will then head on over to the coastal village of Dundrum to visit Norman castle. Make sure to climb to the top of the fortified walls and see the amazing views for miles. Move on to the highest mountain range in Northern Ireland, The Mourne Mountains, where you will make a photo stop at an area of outstanding beauty at Spelga Dam. Ask your guide to show you gravity hill and watch your tour bus ‘roll up’ a hill all by itself! From there you will travel down the coast line and make another stop at Ross’ Monument, dedicated to Major General Robert Ross, who burned down the White House in retaliation for the Americans burning York (now modern Toronto) in 1813.

The tour concludes with a pleasant ride back to Dublin. Join the Belfast Day Tour for a guided trip to one of Ireland's best cities.
